As has already been stated, "anna" does seem to come up in some
families. I am from B'lore though and we do address my father
as "anna". The reason, mum mentions, is that since she used to
address my dad as 'Eenna'( I suppose bhakti readers will know what
I mean), we as kids picked it up as "anna".
