as i have given in introductory note, our native place is kazhiyur which
is near to cheyyar in north arcot dist and around 23 kms from
kanchipuram.
my father and my uncles, call their father as anna and call their elder
brothers as appa.
i do not know how this system of calling came in to prominence. however,
as people who are affected by the external world, we (incl by nbrother)
call our father as appa only.
