Dearest bhAgawatas of the bhakti-list,
We hope you took a few minutes to read the invitation and agenda for the
600th anniversary celebration of Sri Ahobila Muth that was posted on bhakti
recently. (For those of you who might have missed it for whatever reason,
please get in touch with one of the working committee members below, and we
will e-mail you a copy). The function will be hosted by Sri Ranganatha
Temple, NY during the labor day weekend (Sep. 5th,6th & 7th) at the temple
and at the Long Hill Township Community Center, NJ. All of you are part and
parcel of that revered ancient SriVaishNava tradition rejuvenated by our own
beloved Sri Ramanujacharya. So, please do attend this function and make it
a success. Also share this email with your friends and urge them to join
you. ALSO REMEMBER, THE RANGANATHA TEMPLE, NY IS THE ONLY PLACE IN THE USA
WHERE YOU CAN GET THE DARSHAN OF THE LORD'S AVATAARAS FROM ALL THE YUGAS.
Once again, everybody is welcome to participate in the function.
For those of you who will be traveling from outside the NJ/NY states, we
would like to work one on one with you to make arrangements for
accommodation and transportation. We will keep you posted on the details
over the next several weeks. We are trying to coordinate with quite a few
families living in the NJ area who are willing to host people coming from
out-of-state. Also, time is running out if you plan to fly into Newark
International Airport in NJ because the Labor Day Weekend is less than two
months away. So, please do take a minute or two to plan your travel. Also,
we would greatly appreciate if you can indicate to us your travel plans even
by e-mail. Your details should include your estimated days of stay and the
person count. As all of you know, arrangements can be done best
iteratively, and your contacting us early will set the ball rolling. For
more information, please do not hesitate to contact anyone of the following
people by e-mail or phone:
1) Sri Venkat Kanumalla (NY): Kanumalla@hotmail.com 914-627-6716
2) Sri S. Raghavan (NJ): sraghav@yahoo.com 732-940-0399
