I have heard this several years ago and it is my favorite. His words are amazing though bordering in advaita. I like this song a lot. it is supposed to be sankaracharya though many folks dont know in detail krishna -----Original Message----- From: Mani Varadarajan [mailto:mani@ramanuja.org] Sent: Monday, July 22, 2002 1:48 PM To: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Subject: govindaashtakam Fellow Members, I recently heard M.S. Subbulakshmi's moving rendition of something I think is called 'govindaashtakam'. It begins with the words 'satyam jnAnam anantam nityam'. Can someone tell me who is the author of this stotra? Is it attributed to Adi Sankaracharya?
