SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAHA. Dear devotees, Once again to svargam and narakam. Speaking on the various ‘artha viseshangal’ (‘Adhigalai arivikkindra….’ Acharya Hrudhayam –16) that have been produced by the lord and that which appear in groups of four, there comes a reference to ‘gathi’ (vazhi or way) which are four in number. Two of them are svarg and narag. The description comes as follows. 1. Garbha gathi – Way through the womb with a mixture of paapam and punyam. 2. Yaamya gathi – Way through the narakam with paapam only. 3. Dhoomaathi gathi –Way through the svargam with punyam only (BG –8-25) 4. Archirathi gathi – Way to paramapadam. I request readers who can throw more light on this 4 –gathi-s , to part with their information / interpretation. JS __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
