Fowarded is an appeal for the Nandavana Kainkaryam for Sri Devadhirajan
sent by Srinivasa Ramanujan (srianuj@yahoo.com). 

This appeal coincides with the postings on  Sri VaradarAja Sthavam by
Sri Sadagopan mama .  Needless to say he has written eloquently about
the greatness of the Thulasi/Pushpa kainkaryam just before Sri
Renganathana Temple Samprokshanam.

I request all bhagavathas to take part in this great kainkaryam.

Sree Devadhirajan Nandavana Kainkarya Sabha

     A humble task of establishing a Nandavanam with
Thulasi and many flowers to be utilized for the
worship of Lord Varada within the Temple Premises of
Shri Varadaraja of Kancheepuram was undertaken by
Udayampakkam Shri. U.Ve Vedantharamanujachariar Swamy
at a cost of Rs. 80,000 with liberal donations
received from the Asthikas.  This task was commenced a
year ago.

     It is estimated that, a sum of Rs 4000/- per
month is required for the maintenance of this
Nandavanam, which has an extent of 1.75 Acres.  Hence
it was decided to raise a corpus fund of Rs. 4 Lakhs
so that the interest accrued from this fund could be
utilized for the maintenance work.

     Rendering such a service to the Supreme Lord by
decorating Him with fragrant flowers was the cherished
service of our Alvars and Acharyas which could be
evidenced from the Divyaprabandham and the Stotras. 
Hence we request all the astikas to contribute
liberally and receive the blessings of the divine
couple and acharyas alike.

     It is needless to say, Sir, it is a rare
opportunity.  Contributions may, please be sent to the
