I found an interesting Web page for those who appreciate cross-cultural studies of religion: http://fmwww.bc.edu/SJ/fxcstudies.html It is a semi-autobiographical note by Francis Clooney, an ordained Jesuit priest, who fell in love with Nammalvar and Tiruvaymoli and spent years studying it along with the commentaries in Madras. By the way, his book, "Seeing through texts", is wonderful for those who want to find out an outsider's experience with Tiruvaymoli.
