Theft at Mannargudy Temple
From the Bhakti List Archives

There was a surprising element to the cruel theft at Thayar Sannadhi of Mannarugudy Rajagopala swamy Temple. The bhattachar on duty was murdered and the thieves vanished with the jewels. However, they had hidden the jewels right in the lands that belonged to Thayar. Police did find them and handed them over to the temple. There was no major loss of jewels but the more precious life of a Bhattachar. The above incident took place when I was a resident of Mannargudy. I just thought would post this info in response to a recent posting on this subject.
