Burglary

Dear friends, I suppose some of you may already be aware, but for those who don't read the Madras City edition of the Hindu, here is very, very sad news. About 3 days ago a burglary has been reported at the Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Mylapore (also known as Vedanta Desikar Koil, I think). Ex-Residents of Chennai amongst you all may remember this fine temple adjacent to the Kesava Perumal Temple. The total loss has been estimated to be around INR 1 million and includes the Lord's Jewels !! >From the last reports received the Tamil Nadu police department is investigating into some clues picked up at the crime-spot but no breakthroughs have been achieved yet. One wonders what order of villainy the culprit/s belong to that they thought nothing of committing larceny at the very altar of what so many humans consider sacred. saddened, sudarshan.
