Being a man I will never fully understand the pain
and humiliation that some women are subjected to.
Therefore I cannot rule out the possibility of
espousing different views if I happenned to be a
woman. Be that as it may, I must also point
out that what I said was not that women need
not be shown equal respect, far from it.
As for equality, it is my opinion that it is
not only attainable, but undefinable as well.
IMHO, whatever gender problems Sri Vaishnavas face
we need to attempt to solve them in a spiritual
context. Using the Western civilization model
will not be progress, again IMHO.
