108 DD Project: Request for volunteers

Dear group,

We need to recruit volunteers to go through the
scans and thin down the number of images.  We will
also have other tasks like keying-in Tamil texts,
editing scanned-in English articles, etc.  Therefore,
I invite members of the group to volunteer for
some of these tasks.  Based on the responses we can
assign the tasks to individuals.  In your response
please indicate the technology and time limitations
you have so that the tasks assigned are commensurate.
Please incldue the following information:


Machine:  Describe the machine you have in detail,
          the kind of video card, multi-media, etc.

Internet: WWW access?

Scanner:  If you have access to scanner, how much
          time you can spend on taskes?  Do you have
          OCR for conversion to e-text?

Time:     How much total time per week you are willing
          to spend on these tasks.

Tamil:    Your transliteration skill and knowledge of Tamil,
          i.e., how good are you with reading Tamil and
          keying it in in one of the transliteration software?
