Do not forget Raama was in Maanusha Avatra and acted like a simple man to please his wife for a simple request. Even in most difficult times, Rama being man, wanted to please his wife in very a personal way. That is the reason why he himself went. Secondaly, Ravana knew that only Rama will go after the deer and therefore had instructed Maareecha to Call"Raama" if and when struck by an arrow. obviously,Maaricha was trained only call "Raama".
