SrI:
SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:
Dearest Srivaishnavas

TodayÂ’s verse- 23rd- Maari malai muzhainjil mannik kidandhuRangumÂ…
In order to protect the good and destroy the enemies, due to His greatest
compassion, He has come down to earth taking these avatars as Krishna. He
has become visibly pleased with GopikasÂ’ plea and got up.
When the girls saw Him getting up and sitting on the bed; they now request
Him to walk so that they can enjoy seeing Him better.

Oh girls! I have beeon doing all that you say. What else do I do? And who
else do I have except for you, who are my devotees? Let me do if possible
for me – all that you say.
What is not possible for you? Tell me Krishna.
Listen. These things are not possible for me: I can not destroy Jeevathmas.
I can not make mukthAthmAs be born again in karmic world. I can not close
down the play for Nithya vibhUthi like what I do on leelA vibhUthi; I can
not send the Prapannas to hell. I can not stop punishing those who trespass
the saasthrAs; - there are very many things like this which I can not do.
Are we fools to ask you such trivial things? All that we will ask will only
be compatible with your greatest SarvEshwarathvam and Parathvam.
Let me know what is in your mind.
You have listened to our plea and prayers and got up from Yoga nithrA; sat
down on the bed also. You are sitting on the bed inside the room; there are
lakhs of Gopikas waiting outside for your darshan and to enjoy your divya
mangala vigraham. Hence, please come out and walk towards this grand maNi
maNdapam and sit down on this shining, glittering, gem stone impregnated
SimhAsanam (Royal Chair). If you come and sit here, we would have
accomplished everything in this birth. We want to see your royal gait like a
male lion and to sit on this.

In a dark cave, when there is huge torrential down pour, the male lion rests
inside and it appears there is only one lion; but in fact there are actually
two (with its mate); When the rainy season stops, the lion wakes up, and
with its shining fiery eyes opened, it yawns, stretches its body to its full
length, shakes its mane and hairs, and walks like a GREAT king out of the
cave to oversee the forest, ignoring the lady lionÂ’s plea to stay put
inside. Like that, you come put of the bed like male lion, and walk towards
this simhAsanam.

You all are saying- walk like a lion; have you ever seen one?
We have not seen, as it lives in forest. But let us get to know how a lion
walks from your walk now. Please have a simahgathi.
How do we all know that you know how to walk like a lion? We learnt from
this AndAL’s father PeriyAzhwAr only He only sang lullaby to You, “devaki
singamE! thalElO! siRRAyar singamE and Ayar kula siRiya singamE! etc.. .

Also, maarimalai muzhainjil manni kidanthu uRangum- When there is cosmic
dissolution- mahApraLayam, there is water everywhere; the jeevathmAs are all
housed safely in the corner of His stomach in sookshumum and all the
universe is also housed therein. guhAyAm paramE vyOman- He alone exists then
along with his mahishI. Then after the praLayam, being the most
compassionate Divya Dampathi, taking pity of Jeevathmas, He decides to
re-create a leelA vibhUthi (bahusyAm prajAyEyEthi) and he wills to create
everyone and everything again based on our past karma. Like that Singam,
(having woken up and decides to walk down the leelA); come out and walk
towards this simhAsanam.

Also, maarimalai muzhainjil manni kidanthu uRangum- Also, Sri AdhivaN
SatakOpar (1st pattam) visited and paid his obeisance to the Ahobilam cave
Sri Lakshmi Nrusimhan and He took a sankalpam that He will wake up and start
walking like Real lion. The lion faced PerumAL Sri Narasingan thus walks
with Sri Ahobila Mutt jeer even today in his sanchaaram. Like that KaNNA!
Come and walk towards this simhAsanam.

PeriyAzhwAr called for your faltering steps like a toddler. What we want is
like a male youthful lion. Do not walk like an angry lion; walk like a happy
lion.
WhatÂ’s all this? You do not want this and that? Tell me how do you want me
to walk and I will. – says Bhaktha paraadheenan (One who is only for his
devotees).
Do you know how do we want you to walk?- Like the boy who walks in to see
the girl whom his parents and her parents had seen and talked to each other.
He walks proud and joyful, much to the delight of the girl; her friends and
her parents (and his as well). Like that come towards this simhAsnam and sit
on it.

Whatever I walk- you will talk bad about it. I do not know. Teach me how to
walk like a lion.
It is not that you do not know. You have walked like that before- KaNNA!
Where? In Rama avatar, when Sage ViswAmithrar took you and Lakshmana to
MythilA, you saw SitA from the ground and she saw you as well (aNNalum
nOkkinAn; avaLum nOkkinAL) and You started walking like a lion with
happiness and entered into the palace; Sage Janaka saw you and everyone saw
you walking so gracefully. Like that you walk now. Janaka asks Viswamithra,
“imow kumArow badramthE dEvathulya parAkramow | gajasimhagathI veerow
saardhUla vrushabObhamow | - He became extremely happy to see them and asked
as to who these young brothers are. Are they celestial bodies? Are they
gandharvas? Are they Sages? Are they the creations of Sage Viswamithra by
his thapas? Who are they walking like a male lion? Like a strong Bull? Like
the male elephant so majestic and so handsome? My mind is so captivated by
their walk. – says Janaka.
That walk- please walk now.
Do you want me to walk all of them- Gaja, Simha, SaardhUlam and vrushaba?
No. We want only one- which is Simha gathi. Like a male lion. _ If you walk
like elephant, this simhAsanam will roar at you. It will not be compatible.
So, walk like a lion. You ask any scholar or mahaan- they all will agree
unanimously that there is no such simhAsanam even in Srivaikuntam.

Just look at the small lion cubs that hold this peetam (chair bottom); One
can not describe in words- this beauty of this simAsanam. How can one
express the sweetness of akkAra adisil unless one tastes it? So, come and
enjoy for yourself. Come, Sit on it and think of what we have come for from
this simHAsnam.
Already from here, I can think of- why should I come there?
No. there are so many of us. All can not see you. Hence come over here and
sit on this simhAsanam so that we all can enjoy having a divine darshan of
your Divya mangaLa vigraham. This is also grander and things will be
different from this simAsanam. If one approaches a king for something, and
if he is alone in his harem, he may give one gold coin. If he is on his
throne, and if he is surrounded by others, he is on different mood and
platform. His giving will be different and will be much more. Hence come to
the simhAsanam. Also, we have not come to beg You for material pursuits. We
have already been blessed by your divine kataaksham. But, come here and sit
on it and think of what and why we have come for. Bless us with your
paripoona Aseervadhams.

Oh girls! You have come in tens of thousands. How will I be able to know
each oneÂ’s intentions and desires? It will take time. You discuss among
yourself make a list and submit to me and I will deliver.
No. We do not want anything ; but your simha gathi alone and we wish to
enjoy seeing your walk.
He starts walking so majestically, so gracefully and so handsomely. He is
YasOdhai ilAmchingam.
[aDiyEnÂ’s further musing: Let us enjoy NumperumALÂ’s walk in our minds and
pay our obeisance. On the similar token, Kambhan has composed a lovely verse
on Rama's beauty. When Rama Lakshamana and SitA were walking in the forest,
Kambhan narrates:

...........
poyyO enum idaiyALodum iLayaanodum pOnaan/
maiyO? maragadhamO? maRikadalO? mazhaimugilO?
"aiyO!" ivan azhagenaa azhiyaa azhagudaiyaan.

When Rama walks with SiTA and Lakshmana in the forest- Kamban sees and
enjoys the scene. Kamban says: Rama went with the One who has a narrow waist
[no waist- poyyO enum idaiyaaL] and His younger one. Is He so dark &
beautiful like mai? (kaajal?- Collyrium?) Kamban is not happy with that word
because it just represents Rama's dark colour. So Kamban asks MaragathamO?
Is He an emerald gem stone? No. Not a perfect word for Rama's beauty.
maRikadalO? Is He the dark blue Ocean? A good simili. But the Ocean is
salty and is not like the sweetness of Rama's beauty. – which one can keep
drinking and never gets satisfied. mazhai mugilO? Is He the Dark Black rain
laden coluds? Wow! That's almost - most
appropriate comparison for Rama's qualities as well as His lovely dark
Divine Body.. He is so merciful like the dark clouds and rains His mercy on
the world.

BUT Kamban is still NOT satisfied. He is at a loss to find words. He is
searching for a good word in Tamil and is not able to find one. He raises
his hands and gives up. "aiyO! (I am helpless. I have lost!_ ivan azhagenna
azhiyaa azhagudaiyaan.... Oh No! What a beauty is he! He has unfading,
eternal Beauty!]

Please read from vidwAns' commentaries about other greater details- Srimath
MukkUr Azhagiyasingar ends with such great humility. anything good - the
credit goes to the divine commentary of SrI Mukkur Azhagiya Singar's.
Errors,
faults are only due to my lack of understanding.
