vegetarianism??

hi sometimes i tell my friends who eat non-vegetarian food to try and resist eating them since they are killing an innocent life. but they try to argue with me that being a vegetarian doesnt change the picture. because being a vegetarian means killing plants. so does it really matter if we kill plants or animals ? where is it mentioned that animals should not be eaten ? are we justified in telling others to resist themselves from eating non- veg food since we are killing plants ?? the only diff i have found is that animals show resistance when they are to be killed where as plants dont. i know this is not a very appropraite question for this particular group. but i am optimistic that i will get good response. thank u in advance sandeep -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
