'" Information has just been received that the Thirumangalya saradu of
Alamelumangal consort of perumal Venkatachalapathi has come down from
her neck.Since this is considered as a bad omen, all the sumangalis in
the whole world are advised to wear a saradu with a bit of turmeric tied

to it. This has spread all over Madras within a short time. Lakshmi and
Anu are advised to follow suit. If they are not in the habit of wearing
saradu, they should wear it now at least up to Wednesday.Please intimate

compliance. Sairam. "
