Clarification on doubt - requested

Respected Bhagavathas,
Adiyen is a member of this distinguished Bhakti-List for quite some 
time and have been enlightened on various facets of Vishistadvaita 
through this distinguished forum. I have got a doubt which I feel 
would be cleared by the highly learned members of this list. 
Traditionally, many families in the South of India offer milk to Nagar
(Puthu) during the month of Aadi and Thai. This practise is being 
continued at my in-laws place also. This is done without any 
Kaamyartham involved in it. A doubt has crept into my mind that being 
a prapanna should I continue this practise. Our grandmother insists 
that this tradition be continued as it has come down as a family 
practise from our forefathers.
