At the end of  Adhyayana Utsavam, in Kanchi a very special utsavam - the
Anushataana Utsavam - is celebrated. The incident when Sri Ramanuja was
rescued in the forest, by Lord Varada and Perundevi Thayar is remembered
reverently.

Lord Varada and Acharya Ramanuja are hosted by Swamy Desika at Thoopul.
Besides the Desikar Thirunakshtram, this is the biggest event in the Thoopul
Temple
Calendar.
 
On this occasion, we present to you a commentary on the celebrations at
Thoopul as it was underway there.

Having gone thru it, we sincerely hope that it gives you some sense of
