New Year Greetings

        thani thani mukkani pizhinthu
            vadithu onrAi kUtti
        sarkkaraiyum karkandin podiyum miga kalanthu
            thaniththa narunthen pizhinthu

        pasumpAlum thengin thani palum sernthu
            oru thIm parupidiyum viravi
        iniththa naru nei aLanthE
            Ilam sUttil irakki eduththa
        suvaikkattiyinum iniththa

        engaL manamArntha puththAndu vAzhthukkaL.

Translation:

We heartily wish you all a New Year that is Sweeter than that you get -
"when you press a mango, jackfruit and banana, blend them and filter the
juice, sweetened with sugar, candy and fresh blossom honey;  blending
this mixture of nectars with cow's milk and the sweetest of tender
coconut and coconut milk, seasoning it with sweet refined clarified
butter and bringing this to a very light boil."
