Re: A prayer for the unfortunate ones

Dear Bhagavatas I am amazed at the negative interpretation of VAgarwalV@cs.com. Just imagine the possibility of all the hostages being done to death at the casual trigger of the gun or a deliberate massacre by thoughtless fanatics. For what we know from the reports of the hostages arriving at IGI Airport, this was quite almost a certainty feared by one and all. In the circumstances, the release of the terrorists might have been a small price paid for the release of 155 passengers. Only if we pray for our own benefit does it become Kaamyaartham. When prayers are offered for the sake of Loka kshemam (which includes the hostages), God will not take it amiss. If it were not the saving grace of Lord, what else can we expect than this macabre eventuality? How do we meet with God except in prayer? In the present instance, I believe God has really answered the prayers and this requires no more proof. Let us learn to think positively and offer our thanks to Sri Anjaneya on Hanumat Jayanthi day (6th January 2000) Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy
