Dear devotees,
namO nArAyaNA.

  adiyEn is very happy to announce that Uttamoor swAmi's
  tamizh commentry on SwAmi DeSikan's great kAvya
  "yAdhavAbhyudayam", a  classic among classics is available
  now for the devotees. The book also has appia deekshidar's
  sanskrit commentry. It has been printed very recently and is
  around 1200 pages ( approx. 3 to 3.5 Kgs in weight !!).  

  appia deekshidar, who was a leading advaitic scholar of his
  times was spell bound by the beauty of this great kAvyam
  dealing with Lord Krishna's leelAs and commented on it. 
  SwAmi Desikan as a "kavi simham" is easily evident from 
  this kAvyam. appia deekshidar (AD) was in all praise for 
  swAmi dESikan's each and every padam in the kAvyam, which
  were yielding layers and layers of rich meanings. The
  commentry for even one slokam took him days to complete
  (because of great construction of slOkams with many
  specialities). But, the ruling king of that time needed 
  the commentry be finished by an year. So, AD who himself
  thought that it will take years to finish the commentry
  if he writes in that rate, started to comment in a crisp
  and brief manner (to meet the deadline).      

  
  This unparalleled work of the genius who was given the 
  title as "KavitArkika Simhan" by RanganAthar and 
  "Sarvatantra svatantrar" by RanganAyaki thAyAr, is 
  certainly a great treasure for us to posses. The value 
  of the treasure is enriched by the commentry of none
  other than Uttamoor swAmy, the great mahAn who
  has written around 200 granthams !!! (no wonder the mahAn
  is "abhinava dESikan" ).  
      
  Its a great bAghyam for us to have this most anubhavam
  filled kAvyam which soaks one with extraordinary bhagavad
  kalyANa guNAnubhavam with heart melting slOkams invoking 
  various rasAs. Its also a great treasure to be passed on 
  to the future generation.
