Dear Bhagavatas

There is another dimension to the recitation of Charamaslokam with the first
person. I have heard in Kalakshepams that it is a subtle way of reminding the
Lord by quoting his own solemn promise and inextricable commitment made in
unmistakable terms -
" If you take refuge at MY feet (MAAM EKAM) , I (a big 'I' there)-(AHAM)- I
will grant you (TVAA) Moksha by cleansing you of all sins (SARVA PAAPEBHYO
MOKSHAYISHYAAMI) and his unambiguous reassurance "Do not Grieve"(MAA SUCHA).

It is a subtle but picturesque way of reminding his promise, his commitment
and his reassurance - like producing a recorded evidence to remind the Lord
that he cannot go back on his words

Did not Andal say - "Vaayil Kaappaane! Manik Kadhavam Thaal Thiravaai! Aayar
Sirumiyaromukku Arai Parai Maayan Manivannan NENNALE VAAI NERNDHAAN" ...
Vaayaal Munnamunnam Maatrathe Ammaa Nee" etc.

So, there is nothing wrong for Prapannas (who have surrendered themselves
through Bharanyaasam) in reciting (either aloud or muted) the Charama Slokam
with the first person.
