Dear BhakthAs of Sri Vaikunta Nathan(ThiruviNNagarappan):

Now that Sri Bhumi Devi's MaaNiccka Kondai,
Maragatha KiLi and Golden Jatakothsu Kaimkaryam
has been completed , it is an appropriate time 
to offer prapatthi to ThiruviNNagarappan . 
There are eleven moving Prapatthi slOkams
that are recited before Oppiliappan by
His BhakthAs . I will take this opportunity to
summarize their meaning in this series of postings .

Let us seek now His blessings to complete the last
of the planned kaimkaryams (viz) ., the samarpaNam
of Mutthangis for the uthsava mUrthys ( Ponnappan
and BhUmi dEvi ) on Kaisika Ekaadasi of 1998 .
We need a total of 50,000 Rupees ( $1,400 ) 
to complete this Kaimkaryam . The contribution 
of $35 by 40 BhakthAs would help to complete 
this last of the present series of Kaimkaryam 
to the SaraNya Sampathis , who received and granted
Prapatthi to NammAzhwAr .I pledge 10 % of the needed
funds ( $140 ) . That would leave $ 1,260 ,
which could be raised from $35 contributions each by 
36 BhakthAs .    

We have completed the taping of two tapes 
realting to the Mahimai of Sri Oppiliappan . 
One of them is a summary of AzhwAr's anubhavams
in Tamil . The second tape is a musical tribute
to Sri Bhumi Devi samEtha Sri Oppiliappan .
These two tapes will be presented to 
the contributors to this kaimkaryam .
Sri sampath rengarajan has kindly offered 
to help with the duplication and 
distribution of these two tapes .

   of Thiruppathi temple ( Swami Desikan is revered as
   the ghantAvathAram ) .

  AAKAASA PURYAADHIPATHE: MAHISHEEM DAYAARDHRAAM I
VISVASYA MAATHARAM AKINCHANA KHAAMADHENUM
  VISVAMBHARAAM ASARANA: SARANAM PRAPADHYE II

(MEANING):AdiyEn without any other source of 
support offer my prapatthi to the Pattamahishi of
ThiruviNNagarappan , Sri Bhumi Devi .She is 
the kalpaka creeper , who blesses the adiyArs 
with all the boons that they seek . She is the 
boundary of forbearance . She is the Mother of
the Universe . She is the divine KhaamadhEnu ,
who enriches all of her adiyaars with immeasuarable 
wealth . AdiyEn without any other means of protection 
surrender unto Her lotus feet .

THE SECOND SLOKAM OF AAKAASA NAGAREESA PRAPATTHI

SRIMAN MRIKANDUJA MAHARSHI TAPOVIBHOGOU 
  BHOOMYAABHINANDHIDHA MAHAAMRIDHIMA SVABHAAVOU I
AAVISHTA DHUSHTA SAKATA PRAKATOGRABHAAVOU 
  BHUVALLABHASYA CHARANOU SARANAM PRAPADHYE II

(MEANING ) : I surrender unto the sacred feet 
of ThiruviNNagarappan , who took the beautiful 
form befitting that of the bridegroom of Bhumi 
dEvi in response to the austere penance of 
MaargandEya Maharishi . I offer my prapatthi 
to The Lord who once showed his ferocious anger
at SakatAsuran (and kicked him out of existence ) .
