     Dear  bhaktAs of Sri Kanakavalli thAyAr & VeersrAghava PerumAL,
    
     Namo NArAyanA . kindly accept adiyen's pranAmams. 

    The sahasra kalasa abhishekam for ThiruvaLLUr(Thiru YevvuL)
VeerarAghava perumAL was performed in a very grand manner. This very
rare thirumanjanam was enjoyed by around 3000 bhAgavathALs.

  The abhishekam started at 7.30 AM on 16th Feb. One very very rare treat
to devotees of rAghavan was that , His Golden kavacham was removed for
this grand thirumanjanam . So, many bhaktAs relished the beauty of the
original archA thirumeni of rAghavan. 

([[Usually , the kavacham is removed only once a year for thirumanjanam
(not sahasra kalasa abhishekam) & only the intimate servitors of
rAghavan (archakALS) had the fortune to enjoy the archA thirumeni of
rAghavan .]]) 

    AchAryAs expert in Agama sAstrAs guided the sahasra kalasa abhishekam  
with regard to the exact procedures. It is only from their suggestion that
the kavacham was removed. It's a very rare sight for bhAktAs since this
type of grand thirumanjanam is carried out only for thiruvengadamudayAN
(thirupathi SrinivAsar). 

      The thirumanjanam was carried out with great love by the close
servitors of rAghavan. Tears came out from adiyen's eyes when adiyen's
father Sri K.G.Krishnan swAmy was explaining the way in which the
archakALs with great devotion were carrying out the abhishekam.. The
abhishekam went on & on till evening 6.30 !! 

      The archakALs had enormous physical strain. It is not an ordinary
thing to overcome the problems associated with the body. But , the
archakALs because of their deep devotion , were ever filled with joy 
& served our perumAL tirelessly the whole day . More importantly , the
abhishekam wasn't performed , just for the sake of performing it. One
could have employed the short-cuts to finish it off in a few hours. But
all the archakALs were not for these things. They considered this
kainkaryam to be solely for the "Pleasure of VeerarAghava PerumAL".
 

   PerumAL will  be pleased only if one follows the sAstrAs properly.
 So, there was no question of any short-cuts. Only for a person who hasn't
attained  pakkuvam (maturity) in devotion will  Kainkaryams appear to
be long,laborious,straining ,difficult etc.So, he will look out either for
short cuts or will totally forget about the kainkaryam itself! Those who
does SandhyAvandanam/ThiruvArAdhanam  will have good personal realization
on these matters .

        ArchakAL's have  clearly demonstrated the pure love they posses
for their dearmost rAghavan.

There are only a handfew who know properly about this 1008 kalasa
abhishekam (Agama procedures etc).There are so many intricate details in
this thirumanjanam. Sri K.G.Krishnan swAmy has taken up his next
kainkaryam of bringing out a booklet describing the exact procedural
performance of Sahasra Kalasa Abhishekam , alongwith the experience
(anubhavam) the bhaktAs had with Sri Vaidya VeerarAghava PerumAL during
this unique occation. This will be a very valuable compilation  for the
devotees of the future. 

      The bhaktAs heard a nectarian UpanyAsam delivered by Sri U.Ve. V.S.
KarunAkaran swAmy, one of the leading VidwAns in Ubhaya VedAntA . He
beautifully presented the devotional outpourings of Kaliyan's(Thirumangai
AzhvAr) "KAsaiyAdai" pAsuram & Sri Abhinava Desika UttamUr
VeerarAghavAchAryA's  mangaLAsAsanam on VeerarAghava perumAL , by
comparing & contrasting their anubhavams.

       The thadheeArAdhanam was performed at Ahobila Mutt. More than 500
bhAgavathALs were served with love by the mutt sishyAs. ThadheeArAdhanam
is the supreme of ALL ArAdhanams. As we know, Sriman NArAyanA takes great
pleasure ,when His devotees are served with love , which is certainly more
than the pleasure He obtains when He is directly being served. 


      After the abhishekam got over , the Divya Dampati listened to  Vedas
& Divya Prabandhms.The parAyanam went on very well to the liking of
rAghavan ( when perumAL is mentioned , it automatically includes thAyAr).

    After SAtrumurai , PerumAL went for the veedhi PurappAdu. It was
around 11.30 pm then . rAghavan with a extra smile on His face because of
the devotion of His bhaktAs , went around the streets of ThiruvallUr &
blessed all the devotees. Our rAghavan's mercy is so great that He  went
around the town to satisfy the devotees who couldn't come to the temple
because of their oldage,sickness , disability etc.

      This unique experience of Sahasra KalasAbhishekam will ever be there
in the hearts of the bhAktAs who experienced it. All the bhAgavathALs
departed with a heavy heart . Sri K.G.Krishnan swAmy was in his peak of
joy when he narrated about the thirumanjanam & was in the depth of his
sorrow when he narrated about his (& other bhAgavathALs) departure from
the association of rAghavan & other Sri VaishnavAs.

     For the benifit of unfortunates like adiyen , Sri K.G.Krishnan swAmy
had arranged for the Videography of this unforgettable event. Probably
photographs were also taken. The upanyAsam was audio taped by Sri
K.G.Krishnan swAmy. 


      Eventhough we didn't have so much fortune to  directly get the
blessings of the Divya Dampati at their abode & relish the wonderful
Thirumanjanam with the association of other Sri VaishnavAs , we have
atleast involved ourselves in this kainkaryam in one way or other.
Sri Kanakavalli thAyAr & VeerarAghava PerumAL's  blessings will always be
there for their devotees. Let us pray that the Divya Dampati be present at
ThiruvaLLUr for thousands & thousands of years to come & bless all the
devotees by giving them more & more oppurtunities for performing
uninterrupted kainkaryam to their Lotus feet.
