I would also like to know the meaning behind aindu kuzhi. Whenever I am in
Sri Rangam people tell me that you must not only put your five fingers in the
holes but stand with your two feet on the footprint markings next to them and
squat down and try to see the Vaikuntha Dvara which is just south of this
area of the temple. Then apparently your wish comes true. I would like to
know if anyone know the history of these carvings.
