There is a site http://www.valmikiramayan.net/ which
has verse by verse English translation of the Valmiki
Ramayana.
It is very nicely done and would be helpful for
bhaktas. Some Kandas are unfinished. In any case, it
is worth going through this site and picking up
meanings of verses / or in prose of the great Epic.
