In this post we will see the naamaas of SVSN having the common thread of plants - or vegetation - meaning in the naamaa a reference to a plant or flower or a tree is there. We will see the continuation of the repetition of naamaas in the next post.
1. Om pushkara akshaaya nama: -- naamaa no.40 occurring in slokam 5.
meaning: - the lotus eyed lord.
Also naamaa no. 561 occurring in slokam 59
Meaning: - he whose eyes are nourishing his seekers.
2. Om padhma naaBhaaya nama: -- naamaa no.48 occurring in slOkam 6.
Also naamaa no.198 occurring in slokam 21.
Also naamaa no. 348 occurring in slokam 38.
meaning: for all 3 - he who has a lotus in his naval or lotus navelled or who supports a lotus in his navel..
3. Om puNdareeka akshaaya nama: -- naamaa no.112 occurring in slokam 12
meaning: the lotus eyed lord
- the eyes of the inhabitants of sri vaikuntham
[meaning the central figure or head of sri vaikuntham]
4. Om suparNaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 194 occurring in slOkam 21
meaning: for 194 - he who has lovely wings.
Also naamaa no. 859 occurring in slOkam 91
For 859 - who helps to cross the ocean of samsaara
- the golden leaf .
5. Om sragviNE nama: - naamaa no.217 occurring in slOkam 23
Meaning: one who adores vaijayanthee garland in the chest.
[srak means garland - Garland made of leaves and flowers]
6. Om padhminE nama: -- naamaa 345 occurring in slOkam 37
Meaning: - one who has the lotus in his hand.
7. Om padhma niBha eekshaNaaya naam: -- naamaa no. 346 occurring in slOkam 37
Meaning: one who glances with eyes resembling full blossomed lotus.
8. Om aravindha akshaaya nama: -- naamaa no.348 occurring in slokam 38
Meaning: one who has eyes as beautiful as lotus.
9. Om padhma garBhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 349 occurring in slokam 38
meaning: who is installed in the lotus
- one who is meditated upon in the central lotus of the heart.
10. Om vanamaalinE nama: -- naamaa no. 566 occurring in slokam 60
Meaning: he, who wears the garland of leaves and flowers - called vaijayanthee.
11. Om kundharaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 814 occurring in slOkam 87
Meaning: one who bestows rewards as beautiful as kundha flowers.
12. Om kundhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 815 occurring in slOkam 87
Meaning: one who grants successive stages of higher knowledge.
He who gave the world to kasyapa rishi.
One who is attractive as the kundha flower.
13. Om aswaththaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 828 occurring in slokam 88
Meaning: The peepal tree - the tree of life.
Geethaa ch X sloka 26 asvaththa: sarva vrukshaaNaam aham
14. Om bhoo: Bhuva: svastharavE nama: -- naamaa no. occurring in slOkam
Meaning: - he who is the paarijaatha tree for those in all the three worlds- Bhoo lOka, Bhuvar lOka and suvar lOka.
- One who is the sap in the tree of life existing in all this universe of the 3 worlds.
15. Om pushpa haasaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 952 occurring in slOkam 102
Meaning: he who shines like an opening flower or blossoming flower.
