Dear friends, Thanks for including me in the bhakti group. I am a Shishya of Sri Ahobila mutt. I am a "Prapannan". I am interested in knowing more about our Philosophy and rituals. I give below a query which i wrote to Mr. Sadagopan some time back. May be he has not seen the mail and hence i did not get a reply. May I request him or others to help me with the same. Dear Sir, I read with interest the inputs on Vedic wedding at Sri Vaishnava home page. Can I pose the following doubts to you : 1.Items like Nitchyadartam, much before marriage and a day before marriageon Janvasam day: Has this no Vedic basic? 2.Vratam done on the day or previous day by the Bride side and Jadakarma, namakarna by groom side : is it not part of Marriage? 3.Can you give me a reference book where all Vedic mantras of Marriage alongwith meaning is given. Either online or as a book will do . I am a Vaishnavite and Ahobila mutt sishyan and a Prapannan. K.V.KRISHNAN [ Please post replies to this to sv-rituals@yahoogroups.com.
