Post no. 49 Dear Sri vaishnava perunthagaiyeer, In this post we will see the naamaas repeated twice as a continuation of previous post wherein we have seen four and three times repeated naamaas. Twice repeated naamaas: 1. Om avyayaaya nama: -- naamaa no.13 occurring in slOkam 2. meaning: one who is without destruction - he by whom the released soul is not sent away. also naamaa no. 900 occurring in slOkam 96 - for sri sankara. Meaning: Indestructible - changeless. [na vyapagamyathE asmaath ithi avyaya:] [Sri Bhattar considers this naamaa 900 as kapi: avyaya: hence it can not be included here.] 2. Om purushaaya nama: -- naamaa no.14 occurring in slOkam 2 meaning: for 14 - the generous giver Also naamaa no. 407 occurring in slOkam 44 meaning for 407 - the purifier - the first in the entire universe. 3. Om saakshiNE nama: -- naamaa no.15 occurring in slOkam 2 Meaning: one who witnesses every thing as it is. The all knower - omniscient naamaa no.517 occurring in slOkam 55 meaning: the observer. - observes his devotees to ensure no harm comes to them. 4. Om aksharaaya nama: -- naamaa no.17 occurring in slOkam 2 meaning: one who never wanes- indestructible. - unconditioned. Also naamaa no. 480 occurring in slOkam 51. [Sri sankara considers this way.] meaning for 480- he who is ever existent without decrease or destruction - imperishable - he who never wanes. Om Dhruvaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 55 occurring in slOkam 6 Meaning: one who is unaffected by time, - unchanging, - permanent. -also naamaa no. 390 occurring in slOkam 42 meaning: the stationery, fixed. 14. Om krushNaaya nama: -- naamaa no.58 occurring in slOkam 7 Meaning: one who has a dark blue complexion. -- also naamaa no.554 occurring in slOkam 59 meaning: one who appeared as krishna dvaipaayana - vEdha vyaasaa: 15. Om krutha gnaaya nama: -- naamaa no.83 occurring in slOkam 9. Meaning: - the lord who is grateful. Lord who knows all that is done by all. Also naamaa 536 occurring in slokam 57. Meaning: he who knows all those created and knower of the creation - The lord who remembers only good deeds / things done 19. Om samvathsaraaya nama: -- naamaa no. 92 occurring in slOkam 10 Meaning: who is of the nature of year - means lord of time - he who lives. sam vasathi ithi samvathsara: also naamaa no. 423 occurring in slOkam [samyak vasanthi Bhoothaani yasmin ithi samvathsara:] the year - the abode of all living creatures. 20. Om sidhDhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 98 occurring in slOkam 11 Meaning: - he who is ever existing - one who has achieved all that has to be achieved. Also naamaa no. 825 occurring in slOkam 88 Meaning: - who is attained by those who know the truth of his being - One who is perfection personified. 21. Om amEya aathmanE nama: -- naamaa no. 103 occurring in slOkam 11 meaning: of a configuration that is incomprehensible. also naama 181 occurring in slOkam 20 meaning: he who is of unaccountable manifestations. 22. Om BhaanavE nama: -- naamaa no.126 occurring in slOkam 14 meaning: the sun who shines. [Sri sankara considers this naama with previous sarva vith as sarva vidhBhaanu and gives a meaning - one who is all knowing and effulgent. Also naamaa no. 285 occurring in slOkam 31 Meaning: the lustrous sun who shines himself - self effulgent - the sun presiding over the solar system.
