RE: Introduction
From the Bhakti List Archives

Dear Sri Sivanandam, Welcome! The normal practice, as far as I know, for Nama japa is actually done 11 times, 33 times and so on. But in a real union with God (Yoga) what I feel and do is not counting the namas. I think nothing should come in between us (atman) and namas of Lord. We should be so passionate that we should not keep anything obstructive or slightly misleading when we do nama japa. Mind is the one which is advantageous and disadvantageous in this aspect and therefore I will not count nama japa though earlier I used to do. It is just the degree/amount of bhakti is what is required ultimately. Pardon me if I am wrong. regards sukumar -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Group Home: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bhakti-list Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
