Swami Desikan in his Yadavabhyudayam has reffered Nappinnai as Nila Devi of the Bhagavatam, Hari Vamsam, Mahabharatam et al. The Vedanta Desika Research society had published an english translation of Yadavabhyudayam. Appayya Dikishita has also written a beautiful commentary on Yadavabhyudayam.
