this upanisad has Samkaracharya's bhasya and HH Azhagiasingar thinks that
the bhasya is authentic. Upanishad bramhendra swamy or some such person has
printed all vaishnava upanisad with commentary - it is available in many
book stores.

Sri:
Srimate Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

Dear Sri Sadagopan, Sri Sukumar:

In one of his upanyasams, Sri U.Ve. Sri Mukkur Lakshminarasimharachar
quotes the Trayambaka mantra of Rudram and the Mahanarayanopanishad
in describing the three eyes of Lord Narasimhar:
"trayambakam yajAmahE...mruthyOr mukshIya mAmruthAath"

'Trayambakam' refers to the one who has three eyes.

(Some may not accept that this mantra refers to Lord Narasimhar.)

If I remember correctly, Sri Mukkur Swami also mentioned that
the three eyes of the Lord are further described in
nrusimhA-tApanIya Upanishad of the Atharvana vedam.
("tApanIya rahasyAnAm sAra: kAmAsikA hari:")

Do bhagavathas have more information on this upanishad? Is
it extant?

Also, note that Swami Desikan is particularly referring to
Lord Narasimhar of Tiru-velukkai. Perhaps bhagavathas who have
been there can share their anubhavam.

sarvamsrIkrishnArpanmasthu,
aDiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan.
