Hari Om. To me, whether a story is true is not important, but the moral conveyed by the story is very important. Thus this story conveys beautifully Sri Lakshmana's boundless devotion to His elder brother Sri Rama and Sri Sita. Recently I came across a nice story describing how Sri Lakshmana's celibacy was tested by Sri Rama when they were in the forest. Sri Lakshmana won the test and these two sacrifices or Deekshas of Sri Lakshmana made Him the only eligible warrior to kill Indrajit (Meghanad), the valiant and gifted son of Ravana. Pl. keep posting interesting stories, which help our own Bhakti to increase. Hari Om.
