Dear bAgawathAs,

What a wonderful event it was ! adiyEn returned half hearted from
newyork with memories filled with the Soundaryam of SriRanganatha
and HIS consort thAyAr and the "poliyum pErazhagu" from the  very
radiant thiru muga mandalam of Sri nAmmAzhwAr.  Many have written
some detail of their account of what all happened.   adiyEn  will
also write some of what anubavams adiyEn was filled with. On 17th
december while Sri nammAzhwAr  and  Sri AdivaN satakpan was being
received  from airport customs, a few were driving and a few were
flying  all  towards  newyork. adiyEn and Sri kaNNabiran  arrived
earlier and  were  shopping  for  alankAram  materials for mOhini
alankAram in the afternoon. Later Sri Krishna  and adiyEn went to
buy many requirements for the next few days. Without Sri  Krishna
and Sri Kannabiran the "mOhini alankaram"  would  not  have  been
possible.  The  mOhini  alankAram  was simply superb. There is no
word to explain the pErAzhagu of this  "iLam kaNNi"  iranganAthan.

A weekly thiru manchanam was performed for  all  deities  on 18th
morning prior to the mOhini alankAram. Sri Krishna kaNNumalla did
the mohini  alankaram  and  adiyEn assisted him with the same. It
was really amazing to see that what ever Sri krishna wants to do,
Sri namperumAL of pomona  immediately  listens to his request and
adorns the dress in the way Sri Krishna wants. ie.,  When  others
tried to do the special koNdai alankAram the jewels wouldnot stay
in the intended position. However when Sri Krishna kanumalla does
so, the jewels stay in the intended  position  without  slipping.
Many thanks to Sri kaNNabiran for  getting the "kiLis" or parrots
and thanks to Sri Lakshmi Narayanan for sadai mudi. We also would
like to thank the "sthapathis" for painting and making the "kiLis"
ready overnight.  Sri  namperumAL  was adorned with kili mAlai or
garland of kiLis and with golden kili on Right hand. HE was  also
dressed  in   the sitting posture and was adorned with a saree in
striking beiege color. The  mOhini  alankAram  was one of a great
darshanam and through out the  day may  bakthALs were  flowing to
have a darshan.

The strong gOshti of Sri Poondi Vijayaragavan, Sri TRGovindarajan
Sri  Lakshmanan, Sri Manivannan, Sri shreyes Sarangan and the out
station gOshti  comprising  Sri Dileepan,  Sri Parthasarathy (Sri
Dileepan's   father),  Sri  Kannabiran,  adiyEn  and  many  local
bAgawathas  who  visit  Sri Ranganatha temple undertook sankalpam
that we will all chant the nAlayira divya prabhandam for the next
10 days  continuously as per the agenda. The gOshti continued non
stop for the next several days untill we completed  reciting  all
4000 and Sri dEsika prabhandam.

note: adiyEn had to mention some names  of  the  volunteers   who
have helped throughout the event.  It is also a  reminder to many
who are eager to pariticpate in events such  as  this but are shy
of  volunteering to help. Please note that there are so much work
to be done as similar to this event for the maha samprOkshanam of
the temple in the near  future. This event also serves as a trial
run for such an event. Unless many of the participants  voulnteer
to help  in  many  ways  it is impossible to conduct such a great
event. One should not wait for others to ask them to do  this  or
that. But instead come forward with  your  own  words  "nAn athai
seyyattA ?".  ie.,  can  i do this task or can you you assign  me
some other task ? Almost all the people who worked in the kitchen
did come forward to do work on thier own and as well  many others
for many other tasks.
