Dearest BhakthAs :

Since my appeal yesterday for the coverage of 
the remaining two slots to reach up to the goal
of $600 for this kaimkaryam , there has been an
overwhelming  response from six BhakthAs . 

We stood at the level of $500 yesterday 
prior to the appeal. Thanks to the most welcome 
support of the six BhakthAs today , we have exceeded 
the 600$ target by $301. We have therefore 
$901 and can make use of that sum to create even
grander SatAri than the one we proposed earlier.
Since  most of these support came within hour of 
each other , it is very difficult not to include 
all of the pledged contributions . Thanks to all
of You and May Bhagavath RaamAnujA's paripUrNa
anugraham be with you and your family for your
hearty particpation in this kaimkaryam . Each 
time this Satari rests on the head of a BhaagavathA
in AchArya RaamAnuujA's sannidhi , that puNyam 
will accrue to you .I have no doubt on that .

This augurs well for the completion of
an exquisite SatAri enmeshed with the nine
gems , which also stands for the nine Sri Sookthis
of AchArya RaamAnujA that are discussed in great 
detail in the AchArya RaamAnujA CD ROM that has 
just been released . The nine gems(works )
of AchArya RaamAnujA are :

1. Sri Bhaashyam ( His exquisite commentary 
   on Brahma Soothrams of Sage BaadarAyaNA )

2. GitA BhAshyam ( exposition on Bhagavadh-
   GitA following AlavandhAr's GithArtha-
   Sangraham )

3. VedArtha Sangraham (an elaborate work 
   dealing with the contents and purports of
   important passages of VedAs and Upanishads)

4. Vedantha DeepA (Brief Commentary on Brahma-
   SoothrAs discussing the purport of each 
   soothrA )

5. VedAntha SaarA ( another short commentary on 
   Brahma SoothrAs providing the meaning of each
   SoothrA and adhikaraNA )

6. SaraNAgathi Gadhyam ( deals with the doctrine
   of SaraNAgathi to Sriman NaarAyaNan )

7. Sriranga Gadhyam ( an earnest prayer to
   Lord RanganAthA of Sriranga KshEthram )

8. Sri Vaikunta Gadhyam ( a rapturous description
   of the Supreme abode of the Lord , Sri Vaikuntam )

9. Nithyagrantham ( a brief account of the daily 
   observances of a Sri VaishNavan as enjoined in 
   the scriptures ).

The Nine gems will represent the Nine blessed works
(Sri Sookthis ) of this great AchAryA , who spent 
close to twelve years at Melkote worshipping 
Sri Yathugiri NaacchiyAr samEtha Thiru NaarAyaNan .
AchArya RaamAnujA built the temple also for
ThirunArAyaNan at Melkote .

The nine gems on the golden satAri (Swamy NammAzhwAr)
of Lord RanganAthA as described by Swamy Desikan are :

(1) Ruby /PadhmarAgam (2) Maragatham /Emerald 
(3) Mutthu/Pearl (4) Indra Neelam/Sapphire
(5) Diamond (6) VaiDUryam (7) rathna SaamAnyam
(8-9)Bahu Rathnams or other semi-prcious stones .

We anticipate a large number of Rubies 
on this Navarathna SatAri , since that 
color represents our Mother , Sarva Loka
Rakshaki , Sri MahA Lakshmi .

We will conclude this posting on this kaimkaryam 
with two PaadhukA Sahasram SlOkams of Swamy Desikan .
The first is from Padhma Raaga Paddhathi 
and salutes MahA Lakshmi :
