Sri PeriyavAccAn Pillai's Manikka malai
From the Bhakti List Archives
• December 20, 1998
Dear Members, Sri Periyavacanpillai was the first acarya to comment on all the pasurams of the azhvars. This earned him the title vyakyana cakravartin or "King of commentators." He had also written a collection of independent works in ManipravAlam. Of there, Parantha rahasyam and Manikka malai are considered to be the most important ones. The tamil text of Manikka malai and a short description is now on-line at http://www.SriVaishnava.org/sva.htm (follow the links for Sri PeriyavAccAn Pillai and Manikka malai). Though the original was in Manipravalam, the text that is on-line is a copy of edited material published by Sri P. A. B Annangracharya. Due to poor quality of the text with the source material, there may be some errors. I would very much appreciate if members, having access to the text or have knowledge of the same, can review the text and forward errors in transliteration.
