Sri Vaidyanathan's message d. 24 Dec '02

Dear Bhaktas,

In the 11 slokas of Dasaka 90, Bhattathiri quotes authorities to support his belief in Narayana as the supreme One.  In sloka 5/Dasaka90, he quotes Sankara himself in support: 
  "Even the blessed divine Sankaracharya honours Thee alone among those (deities) having attributes. 
  He is not indeed a     sectarian. He commented upon Sahasranama and other hymns centred on Thee, 
  and at the end of his life, intent on Thy praise, attained salvation." 
  (Extract from "Narayaneeyam" by P.N. Menon, Educational Supplies Depot, Palghat, 1988).
