DAY SIX - NACCIYAR THIRUMOZHI
SECOND THIRUMOZHI

SONG ONE

Hailed by a thousand names
Like Narayana and Nara!
Be born the son of out aunt
To dispel our langour in longing!
Don't in your playful mischief,
Bring down the sand castles
Decorating the streets in Pankuni
For the season of Kama's march.

SONG TWO

Made we the castles of sand
The back pains stooping through the day.
Look at them with your graceful eyes,
To appease our passion for you!
Our Primordial Lord! You became a babe
To float on a lotus leaf through the Deluge.
Graced wont we be forever
With your condescending grace!

SONG THREE

Dwelling in the deep ocean
Like the most majestic lion, O Lord!
Dispeller of the distresss of the mammoth!
Desirous of you that we are,
Distress not with your sidelong glance!
Dont knock down the castles of fine sand
Sieved with difficulty by bangled arms!
O Lord, lying on the clear-waved seas!

SONG FOUR

Hued like the rain-seeded clouds,
What magic is there in your face,
To make us made with words and deeds;
To make us faint in passion for you?
Lest should be branded ignoble girls,
We utter not harsh wards against you!
O Lord with noble eyes of lotus
Dont bring down the sand castles.

SONG FIVE

Made of fine white sand
Astonishingly wonderful
Bring down these sand castles,
Built fine on the streets!
Melting still in passion for You,
Angered will we be not.
Madhava! Kesava! Of Divine Mischief!
Aren't they eyes on your face?

SONG SIX

Know we not Your Duality, Valiant Lord!
Building a bridge across the seas,
You routed out the asuras!
Brought down Lanka!
You bring down sand castles
In playful mirth sporting seriousness,
Built by us girls with sprouting breasts.

SONG SEVEN

Become will it if you speak
These words of teasing
To those who know you well!
What end do you achieve
Teasing the innocent girls that we are?
The damp, dark ocean-hued!
Builder of a bridge across the seas!
Don't bring down our sand castles.
I appeal in the name of the honour of your wives!

SONG EIGHT

What end do you achieve,
Ocean-Hued Lord, holding the bright discus,
Bringing down the sand castles
Built of narrow necked pot, tender sticks and sand,
Playing to our heart's desire?
You push them and kick them out of shape.
Don't you know that even the sweet jaggery
Turns bitter overdone while making?

SONG NINE

In a stride did You measure the whole world.
In another stride did you measure the skies.
Govinda! Will you enter our household too,
Trampling on our sand castles;
Undoing our hearts with a smile,
Holding each of us by the shoulder
Right in the presence of others?

SONG TEN

Those who utter the words
Of Kothai of Vittuchithan of Villiputtur
The dwelling of devotees chanting the Vedas,
Pleading unto the Lord,
With the taste of the lips of Sita on His,
Not to bring down their sand castles,
Will for sure reach Vaikuntha.
