Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

One small mistake has happened in the post 29. The naamaa no. 659 should read Om kaaminE nama: and not Om kaamaye nama: as given. 

Thanks to Sri Krishnamachari swamin for pointing out this in a private mail. 

In this post, we will see naamaas of sree Vishnu sahasra naamam, having the common thread of  "dhEvaas, their king indhra, and the supreme lord Sri vishNu". 

There is some repetition of naamaas in the "dhEvaa" thread, which was covered in the eeswarathvam topic in post 11. Repetition is not by mistake but as additional taste provider. Further as Swami chinmayananda points out in his book on the commentary of SVSN, repetition of naamaas while doing sthOthram is permissible and not a literary mistake as per rules for a great literary work.

a.	Thread "suraa:" -meaning "dhEvaas":

1.	Om sura eessaaya nama: -- naamaa no.86 occurring in slOkam 10
	meaning: lord and master of all gods [or dhEvaas].

2.	Om sura adhyakshaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 136 occurring in slOkam 15
Meaning: he who controls the gods [or dhEvaas]. 
	president of heavens 
	dhEvaas run to him for protection when threatened by enemies.

3.	Om sura aanandhaaya nama: -- naamaa no.188 occurring in slOkam 20
	Meaning: the source of delight to the gods [or dhEvaas]. 
	- one who doles out happiness even for the denizens of the heavens

4.	Om sura ari GnE nama: -- naamaa no.210 occurring in slOkam22 
	Meaning: the slayer of enemies of gods [or dhEvaas].

5.	Om sura eeswaraaya  nama: -- naamaa no. 287 occurring in slOkam 31
	meaning: lord of all gods [or dhEvaas].

6.	Om amara praBhavE nama: -- naamaa no. 49 occurring in slOkam 6
Meaning: powerful lord of immortals 
[amara: is dhEvaa who has consumed amirtham the nectar for his immortality].

b.	Thread "indhra" - the king of dhEvaas and our lord:

7.	Om upa indhraaya nama: -- naamaa no. 153 occurring in slOkam 17
	Meaning: lord who came as younger brother of indhra.

8.	Om athi indhraaya nama: -- naamaa no. 159 occurring in slOkam 17
	Meaning: one who is beyond indhra in knowledge glory and strength. 
	He who excels indhra.  

9.	Om mahaa indhraaya nama: -- naamaa no. 269 occurring in slokam 29
	meaning: he of great wealth - one having all round effulgence of highest order 
	- lord of indhra , the king od dhEvaas or gods.

10.	Om kapi indhraaya nama: -- naamaa no. 503 occurring in slOkam 53
	Meaning: the lord of monkeys. In the raama avathaaram gods came as monkeys and raamaa their leader. 
	So raamaa is the indhra of kapi -s.

11.	Om  indhra karmaNE nama: -- naamaa no. 792 occurring in slOkam 84
	meaning: he did great things for the sake of indhra 
	one who performs gloriously auspicious actions. 

12.	Om vaasava anujaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 324 occurring in slOkam 35
	Meaning: the younger brother on indhran. 
	[Indhra's other names are vaasava, sathakrathu etc]

	c. the thread of dhEvaas:

13.	Om vaasu dhEvaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 334 occurring in slOkam 36
	Also naamaa no. 700 occurring in slOkam 74 
	Also naamaa no. 714 occurring in slOkam 76
	meaning: for 334 - who pervades the world and plays.
	For 700 - son of vasudhEva.
	For 714 - presiding diety of sri vasudhEva manthra.

14.	Om aadhi dhEvaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 336 occurring in slOkam 36
	Also naamaa no. 491 occurring in slOkam 52
	meaning: for 336 - the first diety, prime diety and cause for universe.
	For 491 - first cause, endowed with effulgence.

15.	Om dhEvaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 376 occurring in slOkam 41
	meaning: who plays with creations - one who revels - he who diverts himself.
	[dheevyathi ithi dhEva: - one who revels or illumines or conquers shines praises plays]

16.	Om mahaa dhEvaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 492 occurring in slOkam 52 
	meaning: the great diety- lord of dhEvaas.

17.	Om dhEva bruthE nama: -- naamaa no. 494 occurring in slOkam 52
	meaning: one who is supporter of gods.

18.	Om thri dhasa adhyakshaaya nama:  -- naamaa no.539 occurring in slokam 57 
	meaning: leader of thirty three dhEvaas - or the 33 koti dhEvaas.

19.	Om dhEva eesaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 493 occurring in slOkam 52
	Meaning: ruler of gods- lord of dhEvaas.

20.	Om kaama dhEvaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 657 occurring in slOkam 70
meaning: lord of love- who grants all desires.
