question on bhagvad gita

hi all

This is my first mail to bhakti-list.I started reading Bhagvad Gita.There certain things I need to clarify and I'll shoot it then and there as I go on reading.This is one of those I want to enquire....

What should be the degree of attachment on anything? Does the Lord mean total detachment from everything? If somebody possesses what belongs to me shouldn't I bother/protest about it?
