Dear devotees,

Initially I intended to send two instalments from what I had written on the Vali episode, restricting it to the 'issue of the necklace of Indra,'  since it was not necessary to publish them here once again, as they are systematically archived in ChennaiOnline.

However, on second thoughts, I thought that it would be better to present the work here, not without a selfish motive.  If at all there is anyone who is benefitted, it would be none other than I, by the discussion that may follow.

I know that considerable heat would be generated when the versions of Valmiki and Kamban are compared.  Let me maket it very clear at the very beginning that I hold both the versions dear and respect both equally.  Kindly note that I am merely presenting the cases as depicted by two grand Poets and am not passing judgement.  Who has the temerity to do so!  Who is qualified for that!

I trust the members would observe the best of both and absorb the best of both.  And forgive my faults of lack of understanding and lack of jnana.  

Sine there are 65 instalments, I plan to send three instalments a day.  I solicit your patience.  It would be ideal to start a discussion after the last instalment is posted.  

I trust that this is agreeable to the Moderator.  Please do let me know if you would prefer to limit the number of instalments sent in a day, to less than three.
