Some doubts reg chanting of Divya Prabahanda..

 DevarEr,


      I read in one book that according to the Divine Orders of Namperumal
of Srirangam, that Nalayira Divyaprabhanda is not to be receited from
Krithika star of Tamil month Karthika (birth star of Sri Thirumangai Alwar)
till Adhyotsava period. It further goes that Alwars the continous chanting
of the Divya Prabhanda would have hurt the throats of Them and they are
supposed to silently meditate on him after applying "Thaila Kappu" on their
throats. During this period, Divya Prabhanda  is not be recited in any
temple or in house.

 I request the list members to enlighten me about the restriction and when
it starts and when it ends. I kindly request the list members to let me know
also about the Adhyotsava.


  I was told that during the day of Koushika Ekadesi, "KAITHALA SEVA"  is
performed in the Srirangam Temple. I humbly request the Sri Vaishnavas to
let me know about the significance of this Seva.
