The posts so far on the significance of today have been
educative, truly absorbing and highly enjoyable.
adiyen simply wishes to share a single shloka that 
encapsulates the circumstances of godha's birth.

aashaade poorNa phalgunyaam thulasee kaananodhBhavaam
paandye vishvambharaam godhaam vandhe shree ranganayakeem
- brahmathanthra swathanthra swaami in dhivyasoori charitham

I pray to godha, who is vishvambharaa(mother earth), who is the beloved of shree
ranga, and who was born in the paandya kingdom in the month of aashaada(aadi)
under the star of poorNa phalguni(pooram) in a thulasee grove.

PS: adiyen is only familiar with a few shlokas of this work where there is a
shloka on the birth of every one of our azhvars and aacharyas. adiyen would be
glad if any of the Bhaagavathas of this list could give me more details of this
work and where I can purchase a copy of the work.
