Sri Amudhan SamprOkshanam and ChAthur mAsya sankalpam - Part 4

Thoppam  followed  in  two days. The jEyshtAbishakam took place 3
weeks later. adiyEn  presented  Sri Amudhan the "kombu thEn" with
the special honey i took from US especially for  thiru  manchanam
and everyone including Sri Amudhan was very pleased with that.

There were many diginatories and yathis visited the temple during
these  4  days. Some are Sri jayEndara saraswathi, SankarAchAryAr
of  Sri  kAnchi  mutt,   Sri    krishna  prEmi,  Sri  AgnihOthram
thAthAchAriar  and  three  poorvAsrama  putthirALs of  the  three
Azhagiya Singars (43, 44  and  45 th)  and  many  others.  parama
bhakthALs of Sri vaishnava origin poured in from many cities from
almost  all divya dEsams. Another unique observation is that this
temple being a Sri Vadakalai sampradhyAam temple, more than  99 %
of the priests  or  battars  are  thennAchArya  sampradhAyam.  In
an unprevalent gesture &  compared to   the other  giant  temple, 
SrivaishnavALs from every  sects were treated with great respect, reverance 
and dignity and they  reciprocated  that sentiments  as  well  with their 
never ending love for Sri Amuthan. Many smArthAs cried  out  in  praise  of 
SriAmuthan and as well people from all walks of life. Everyone  were  united 
  in celebrating this unique occassion.

As  per an unanimous opinion including that of our  Sri Sannithi,
this was judged as  the best  samprOkshanam of  any  SriVaishnava
divya desam in *the whole  century*.  This  is  observed  by  Sri
Nrusimha priya as well that this is the  best  of  all.   In  HER
dhyAna slOkam Sri kOmALa is praised as "sakala buvana mAthA".  In
line  with  this  HER  samprOkshanam  was   the   "mother  of all
samprOkshanams" in the whole century.  This  takes  into  account
thiru  ev uLLur  and puLLam boothangudi and many others including
the commissioning of the Sri rAja gOpuram of SriRangam. More than
250,000 attended this. Several  Ministers from the State  Cabinet
suprevised the arrangement personally even during 2 Am on the day
samprOkshanam. State Government did a terrific job  of supporting
this entire occassion with what ever way they can.  Several units
of Police forces came from all the 3 neighbouring districts under
three different DIGS and were present all over. Everynight  there
were  music recitals and mini  upanyAsams.  The crownining of all
upanyAsams was from Srimadh Azhagiya Singar who said that  if one
donot pray and do kainkaryam to Sri amudhan they  will  certainly
get destroyed, no  matter  whatever  other  thing  they  do.  (ie
amudhanukku  onnum  pannAma  irunthA  avA  azhinthE  pOvAL). Many
sAmAnyALs were praising Srimadh Azhagiya Singar but for whom this
would not have been possible. We are all thankful to our AchAryAL
for  this  parOpakAram. Grand posters were pasted on the walls of
the  entire  city  in  token of this with  Jeer's photo.  We also
thank all those who genorosuly contributed to this cause.
