Dear Srimans Venkatesh , Rangaswamy and Sudarshan :

Following the excellent postings of Sri Rengarajan
on Sri Oppiliappan , our Kuls Dhaivam , I have sent 
the first of the two or more postings on Sri Oppiliappan .

According to our PaancharAthra Aagamam ,
Bhagavaan NarAyaNA is our mUlam and His 
in the form of ArchAmUrthys dear to
AzhwArs , AchAryAs and followers of 
the different sampradhAyams . Same comments 
can be made about Vibhava avathAra mUrthys 
as well . Some declare that Lord KrishNA 
is BhagavAN Svayam and others are Parama
Raama ChaithanyAs . Even here , we have to
revert back to Sriman NaarAyaNA in 
Sri Vaikuntam as the Aadhi MUlam , who
responded to Gajenfran's acute plea for
help . That Gajendra Varadhan and 
the StambhOthbhava Naarasimham responding 
instantaneously to defend His Bhakthan's 
MahA VisvAsam are none other than
Sriman NaarAyaNan .

Although we engage in this wonderful celebration
of our Ishta Dhaivams in the spirit of Saazhals and
Uthi paratthal following the sacred foot steps of
AzhwArs , the fact remains that every thing reverts 
back to the paramaAsthAnam , Param Padham and
the divya dampathis there celebrated by 
Swami Desikan in Parama padha SOpAna rahasya grantham.

Having said that , I will do some floor crossing in defense of
our Kula Dhaivam and how all these come together at 
the Silver mantapam at AhObila Matam .

o Sriman NaarAyaNA going in such a devout spirit.
We are learning together in the true spirit of
a sathsangham .
