Thanks to shrii. V. Sadagopan and shrii. T.V. Venkatesh for clarifying
why namma.lvaar came to be called "shaTakopa".

I had confused "shaTa" with "shaTha" (= cunning); the latter with an
aspirated retroflex 'Th'.
