SrI: Dearest Sisters and Brothers, The posts from Sri V.SadagOpan and Sri Anbi swamin on sanyaasa dharmam, referring their close relationships/acquaintances with the mutt and Ashramam. It is our fortune to have them amongst us. The posts were so moving. My questions on sanyaasa ashramam: 1. Is it essential to hava a person (at least one to attend) for a person to take sanyaas? (since, I believe a sanyaasi can not cook by himself!). That has been bothering me, as a sanyaasi renounces everything! but why should he NOTbe self-suffiecient and wander drinking his bhakti for Emperumaan and joyously immersed in Bhagawath chinthana? Now that he does not have the nagging samsaara saagaram with him, he might as well live alone! The prevention of ("swayam paakam") self cooking bothers me! Please clarify my doubt! 2. Can a person take sanyaas (on his own!) or from other ashramites (like GruhasthAs or VanaprasthAs)? (please forgive me, if I am crossing my limit and am committing an apachaaram by such silly questions) Ram Ram With Best Regards NarayaNa dAsan madhavakkannan ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
