[ From Sri N.S. Padmanabhan, Tiruvallikkeni ] Dear Bhakthi Group Members, It was nice to go through the contents of the archives and the messages. At the Outset The Thiruvoizhmozhi Paasuram 4-4 attracted and me and though I do not know whether I Can venture into a discussion, I herewith give my views hereunder. Shri TS Sundararajan, Shrimathi and Shri T Kannan of Sri Rangam have been referring to the Group for quite some time. Recently, Sri. T Madhavan also discussed this with me. With this I introduce myself as follows: NAME NS PADMANABHAN AGE 40 NATIVE : NANGUNERI -VAANA MAA MALAI. THENNACHARYA SAMPRADHAYAM DISCIPLE OF SRI VAANA MAAMALAI MUTT. PROFESSION: CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT. PRACTICING AT CHENNAI. ARDENT INTEREST IN ARULICHEYAL RECITAL AND COMMENTARIES, ACHARYAS WORKS NAMELY, SREE VACHANA BHOOSHANAM, ACHAARYA HRIDHAYAM AND LIKE SUBJECTS. WITH THIS BRIEF INTRODUCTION, I GIVE HEREUNDER THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE, IF YOU CAN CALL IT SO in response to Mr Vijay - Triplicane. Thank YOU. VERY INTERESTING. THIRUVOIZHMOZHI -4-4-10-EEDU. "Samayam thoarum" refers to transformation of achith i.e. insentient beings. The happiness and grief experienced by the chiths i.e. souls- EEDU- The soul does not experience the physical transformation of the body in which it is in. Similarly, The God does not experience the transformation of the souls- happiness and the grief experienced by the souls. If so, how come the soul which does not undergo physical transformation experiences happiness and grief due to pragrithi sammandham and God does not experience this? That is because, the souls are here due to the effects of karma and God is here out of His Mercy. This is analogous to inmates of prison who are inside the prison and the Prince who is inside, out of his volition. "ThOaivu Ilan" ThOaivu refers to sparsam that is the effect of being pervasive i.e. the experience of good and bad things in case of achiths and happiness and grief in case of chiths. Thoaivu Ilan refers to the lack of thoaivu or God is devoid of such effects of permeation. -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Group Home: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bhakti-list Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
