An Appeal for Navalpakkam patasala
From the Bhakti List Archives
• August 21, 2001
S. Navalpakkam was the abode of eminent Vedic and spiritual scholars for centuries. To preserve and nurture the tradition, a "VEDA PATASALA" is being started at the village under the auspices of SANGA VEDA VIDYA PEETAM with the blessings of Sri. U. Ve. Ayya Devanatha Thathachariar. It is estimated that the day-to-day running expenses of VEDA PATASALA will be Rs.750/- . There are also plans to impart SANSKRIT, TAMIL and ENGLISH education to the Vidyarthis. It is our fervent hope that the Patasala will gradually flower into an eminent institution for studies in Vedas and ancient Indian Philosophy. To enable us to run the VEDA PATASALA, we appeal to all Asthikas to donate liberally to this noble cause in preserving ancient culture of this great nation. Donations can either be given for daily expenses being Rs.750/- or towards corpus fund amounting to Rs.7,500/- the interest from which will meet per day's expenses every year. In addition to this, donors contributing Rs.1,00,000/- and above will be made patrons of the institution. Donations to the Institution are exempted under section 80G of Income Tax Act 1964. We once again appeal to one and all to make our efforts a grand success. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
