Sri: SrimatE Gopaladesika MahadesikAya Namaha, Translation by U.Ve. Dr. V.N. Vedanta Desikan Swamin: 432. sanchArakELikalahAyithagarBharathnA sAmsiDdhikam sakalajanthuShu sArvaBhoUmam rakshArThinAm praThayasIva padhAvani! thvam rangEshvarasya niravagrahamAnrushamsyam Oh Paaduka! During the Lord's walk, the mutual collision of gemstones causes the sound. That, however, appears to my mind as promising, clearly, to the seekers of protection, that the Lord possesses a natural, rightly famous, gentility that will never fail. Namo Narayana, SriMuralidhara Dasan Special Notes by V.Sadagopan (V.S): SlOkam 432 1) Sri UtthamUr Swamy's anubhavam: Here, Swamy Desikan points out that the gems embedded in the Paadhukais give rise to a sweet sound, when they rub against each other. That sound seems to announce to all that the Lord seeks their welfare at all times. This compassionate and caring quality is known as "aanrusamsyam". The opposite of "aanrusamsyam" is "nrusamsyam", which denotes that the possessor of latter quality will cause injury to others. Swamy Desikan says: " Oh PaadhukE! When RanganAthan moves about , the embedded gems inside your kumizhi (toe hold) get shaken and collide against one another. At that time , a sweet sound emerges , which seem to broadcast the unqualified supermacy of Ranganathan as Aanrusamsyan to all the creatures of the world. 2) Srimath Andavan's anubhavam: The naadham generated by the Paadhukais seem to say: " PerumAl has unlimited Dayaa towards all chEthanams. Please seek His refuge. He is Aanrusamsya Moorthy and therefore offer prapatthi at His sacred feet and chase away your sorrows." 3) Oh PaadhukE! You seem to broadcast to the seekers of protection about the sakala bhUtha DayA /aanrusamsyam of Your Lord ( RangEswarasya Sakala Janthushu aanrusamsyam RakshArTinAm praTayasi iva)Â…(V.S). -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
