From the Bhakti List Archives
• August 23, 2000
Jai Srimannarayana! Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha! Dearest Family, Please excuse adiyen for asking such a lowly question. The number 108 has great significance in our way of life. When an archana is chanted, Bhagavan's or Mother's names total 108. There are 108 principal Upanishads. There are 108 beads on the mala. Please enlighten adiyen to the significance of such a number. Peace and blessings be upon you all. In love and respect, Adiyen Keshava Ramanuja Dasa ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@eGroups.com Visit http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/ for more information
